Cullybackey College’s annual Prize Day returned and we were delighted to welcome parents, carers and members of the community back again this year. STEM Club made it’s return to Cullybackey College today starting with a bridge building activity. Let’s just say it got messy pretty quick, but all the boys and girls enjoyed themselves regardless! The Schools Bible Project is a National Writing Competition where pupils were required to select and carefully study a Bible passage and write about the event in their own words, as if they had been present. Our U16 Rugby Team had a great time at the Rugby 7s Tournament at Ballyclare Rugby Club. It was fantastic to see so many of our pupils taking up the sport for the first time. A special thanks to our sponsor ‘Mortgage Wise’ for the new kit. We are looking forward to more fixtures soon!

Year 13 had a great time at their overnight induction trip to Jungle NI. The students were split into two teams, the reds and the greens. There were lots of activities focusing on teamwork, camaraderie and fun! It was a very tight competition but after the ‘Captains Challenge’ the green team were crowned Champions!

On Friday 15th September Year 8 pupils took part in the Young Enterprise Programme ‘Step Up’. Pupils worked with others in their year group to find out about their new school. Each group used the skills they had learnt and completed the task of designing a fun business challenge.
