Modern Languages are part of the minimum requirements for every pupil at Key Stage 3. The Northern Ireland Curriculum aims to empower pupils to achieve their potential and to make informed and responsible choices and decisions throughout their lives. It is about helping pupils prepare for life and work:
- As individuals
- As contributors to society
- As contributors to the economy and the environment
The French department aims to develop the talents, abilities and potential of our young people by enabling them to learn the basic skills and vocabulary required to communicate effectively and a reasonable level of competence via the spoken and written word. We aim to promote language learning and emphasise the importance of communicating in a MFL in the modern world.
