Charity success!

Cullybackey College has had a phenomenal year so far with charity fundraising. This term the school chose to support Chest, Heart and Stroke and a range of events took place throughout the first half of the school year. These included a Valentine’s themed bun sale hosted by Mrs Cummings’ 9A1/2 Home Economics group and a Valentine’s card drop hosted by the School Council.

In the second half of term all junior school pupils participated in a PE Easter Hunt around the school where they were challenged to find and solve the hidden clues. School council organised a Guess the Weight of the Easter Egg and Guess the Name of the Bunny competition. Some of the Sixth Form council organised a tuck shop and they also donated money that was raised from the Sixth Form formal.

A grand total of £1200 was raised and a representative from the Chest, Heart and Stroke Charity will visit our assembly after the Easter break to receive the cheque.

Many thanks to everyone who was involved in the many events and we look forward to more fundraising in the next term with our annual Tearfund Walk.
