Pupils of GCSE Music travelled to Belfast for a visit to the Ulster Orchestra in the Ulster Hall. For many it was their first orchestra concert. The music featured highlights from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, helping us all to get in the festive spirit while learning more about the instruments of the orchestra first hand.

The fundraising for the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice continued today, Wednesday 13th December. Sixth Form pupils provided tea, coffee and a delicious selection of festive tray bakes for staff at the College. The pupils have been working hard to raise money for such a great and worthwhile cause.

Guest speaker, Simon James, visited Cullybackey College on Thursday 7th December. He delivered an insightful talk on Cyber Bullying and Online Safety. The pupils were also treated to some musical entertainment with Mr James impressing the school with his rendition of some popular songs as well as his own material.
Mr Keith Carmichael, Managing Director of the Ross Park Hotel in Kells, allowed himself to be interviewed by an enthusiastic bunch of Year 14 Business pupils from Cullybackey College! The pupils had a guided tour of the hotel and then had an opportunity to interview Mr Carmichael to learn more about the importance of providing good Customer Service.

Festive cheered arrived at Cullybackey College on Wednesday 6th December. Pupils and staff enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner in the canteen along with a range of delicious desserts. Thank you to the canteen staff for all of their hard work and preparation.
