As part of the Lidl Community Works Sport for Good Programme, our sixth form pupils organised and ran their ‘Sports Fun Day’. Their chosen event was a great success – it involved all Year 10 boys and girls during PE classes. Activities included traditional sports such as the wellie boot throw, 3 legged races, egg and spoon races, penalty shoot outs, shoot-a-hoop competitions and sack races events etc. This event allowed more pupils to get involved in physical activity, using sport as a tool to improve mental well-being by increasing self-confidence, self-esteem and resilience.
