Four pupils in Years 9 &10 represented Cullybackey College at the NEBSSA Cross Country event at the University of Ulster, Coleraine, on Tuesday 21st November. The conditions on the ground were very muddy after all the overnight rain but thankfully it stayed dry on the day. In the Year 9 Boys’ event, Ross Stevenson was placed 4th out of 78 and just missed out on a medal. This was an impressive improvement from 43rd place last year!
Gayle Pashler unfortunately had to withdraw at the starting line due to ill health, but is hopeful for more success next year.
Noah Stewart and Isaac Daly had a field of 96 competitors to contend with and exceptionally muddy ground after all of the Year 8 and 9 runners had ploughed around the course. Isaac finished in a superb place of 37th and Noah close behind in 40th. Well done to all of our competitors!
