Cullybackey College students achieve outstanding success

The Year 14 pupils at Cullybackey College are celebrating huge success in their GCE A-Level results this year with 98% achieving A*-E in two or more subjects.

College Principal, Mr David Donaldson said that, “The outstanding achievements of our students is reflective of their hard work, the hard work of their teachers and the on-going support and encouragement of their families during their seven years at the College.”

He also recognised that, “As a school community we are particularly proud of how our pupils have managed to achieve outstanding performances whilst coping with all the challenges and disruption COVID-19 has brought in recent years.”

The success of our students in achieving these results has enabled them to gain the entry requirements to continue their studies at their chosen Universities across the UK and Ireland, all of which they, their parents, and all our staff are extremely proud.

Mr Donaldson concluded by acknowledging, “We are delighted to celebrate these results with our students today and we want to wish them all the very best for the next step in their lives.  Teachers and support staff have worked hard to ensure that the school has fulfilled its ethos of “creating opportunities for success.”
