2020 has been a very challenging year for our local community and particularly our elderly residents. Cullybackey College Students’ Council in conjunction with local businesses decided to add a bit of festive cheer by delivering Christmas food hampers to each of the elderly residents of the Tobar Fold. Last Wednesday saw the first meeting of the 2020/21 Cullybackey College Student Council. This was an exciting event for us in the Student Council as we were able to plan our first project of the year. We are delighted to announce that in our first project we will be focusing on Mental Health and Wellbeing.

The School Council took part in a fund raising Valentine’s activity to help Sixth form pupils, Beth Stewart and Aaron McPeake who are travelling to India with Mrs Stronge and Saphara this year. They sold Valentine’s cards and ran a postal service to raise money. Thanks to all those who contributed!

School Council will be involved in a fundraiser for Romania on Tuesday 14th February when they will personally deliver Valentine’s cards to pupils. A posting collection service will be set up in the senior cloakroom area during lunchtimes from Monday 6th February.
