The Romania team arrived safely back to NI on Tuesday evening. Although tired, we have had a thoroughly enjoyable week. We all got to learn some of the Romanian language, visit local people with food hampers, help with practical gardening work, lead kids clubs and help in an orphanage. In the last couple of days we have started our work in Romania. We have been able to complete some home visits bringing food hampers to families. We have also been able to help a local pastor with gardening work at his Church. The kids clubs have went very well with over 30 children attending

The Romania team safely arrived to their centre on Tuesday. We have been able to sample some lovely Romanian food, play some icebreaker games and enjoy a talk about Romanian culture. We finished the night with hot chocolate by a camp fire. Hopefully after a good night’s sleep we will undertake our work with kids’

Many thanks to Killagan Church of Ireland, 1st Ahoghill and 1st Portglenone Presbyterian Churches who held breakfast/coffee mornings as fundraisers for our trip to Romania in April. Collectively they raised £2990. Many thanks to all who all who supported these events.
