This week our Year 9 pupils and the GCSE Music classes were given a presentation on music career opportunities within the army by Sgt David Porter of the Band Of The Irish Guards and LCpl Savage from the Army Outreach team. They learned of the wealth of opportunities there are to be tutored by top musicians and to travel the world as part of British Army Music. The presentation gave a brilliant insight into both general army training and being a professional musician within the army. Sgt David Porter and LCpl Savage remained behind to talk to several pupils in a very engaging Q & A session. The Music Department looks forward to working with British Army Music in the future, continuing their connection with Cullybackey College.
