The year 8 rugby team attended the final Blitz tournament of the season yesterday in Carrick. The team came up against some of the strongest teams in the competition and performed brilliantly. Despite the weather conditions the team shown a great attitude and desire to play picking up two wins in the first two games. Our final games saw us face off against the two strongest teams in the competition, the performance from the team was excellent but ultimately fell short in both games. As a coach you want players who will put on the kit and give 100% and each player did that today. We are exceptionally proud of the progress the team has made this year, and we hope that it continues into year 9 and beyond. Harry McMillan was awarded player of the tournament for his brilliant running and tackling. However, every player deserves recognition for their performances yesterday!
