As part of the Year 8 History curriculum, pupils have been completing a study on the Norman invasion of England in 1066 and how they subsequently tried to keep control over the Anglo-Saxons. As part of this study, pupils examined different types of castles, starting with traditional Motte and Bailey castles, then stone built castles and finally concentric circle castles. Pupils had been tasked with designing and building their own castles at home over the last few weeks. Year 8 pupils have made a fantastic effort and all deserve a huge well done! Winners will be announced shortly.
