On Thursday 29th September Year 12 GCSE Art students had the opportunity to meet and interview Philip Magennis from Antrim Castle and Gardens to learn about how artists, designers and craftspeople play a role in the area.
Philip explained how public art is funded, how creatives from a wide range of industries from graphic design, sculpture, photography, set design and fine art contribute to successful and long running programme of events and attractions delivered by Philip and his team.
Students are responding to a brief for their pen projects and spent the day gathering research and identifying potential sites for their own outcomes.
