Year 9 pupils are currently studying Bizarre Bodies in Science and have been looking at the anatomy of the respiratory system. Today in class they participated in the challenge to build a working model to represent the chest cavity, lungs, diaphragm, trachea and nose and mouth. Their models visibly demonstrated the movement of the diaphragm and how air moves into and out of the lungs in the respiratory system. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and made fantastic working examples.
