The Year 8 Hockey team played the first round of the Ballymena League against rivals Ballymena Academy on Wednesday 8th November. The girls started off the game really well, with lots of energy and determination. This showed in the game, as they spent most of the 1st half in the Academy’s half, constantly attacking. Erin Hampshire, Shanefa Spiers and Ella Knowles all worked constantly, attacking up front.
The girls kept up their level of skill in the second half. Erin Hampshire was the star of the match, as she scored two goals. Particular mention must go to Anna- Grace Donnelly, Kirsten Percy, Naomi Henry and Samara McMaster as they worked tirelessly in midfield/defence.
An excellent match, with superb team work from the all the girls. Well done!
