The Year 8 Football squad made it through to the Mid Antrim Cup semi-finals with a tough 2-0 victory over rivals Dunclug College on Thursday 1st February. It was a difficult game for both sides in cold conditions, however, two goals from Isaac Wylie either side of half time was enough to seal the win. This was by far the best the team had played to date, testament to their attitude in training and also in the pre-match build up. Daniel Lowry was simply magnificent in defence whilst Harry McNeilly was rewarded with Man of the Match after playing superbly at right back. The King-Hay twins were reliable once more whilst Josh Nicholl and captain Sam Rock mopped everything up in midfield. All round a superb result and the boys now face either Slemish or Cambridge House for a place in the final.
