Parkhall force Year 12 replay
Year 12s entered the Mid-Antrim Cup against Parkhall College in a confident manner, knowing home advantage would give them a good opportunity to earn a semi-final place. The game was played in torrential rain, which made for a very slick pitch and a fast paced match. End to end play saw Calan McFall eventually break the deadlock with a deflected long range effort. This was quickly cancelled out by Parkhall, which left the sides going into the break at one a piece.
The second half saw brave a performance across the pitch, as Cullybackey struck the wood work three times, with Jamie Neeson and Tori Lee Jackson being denied time and time again by the visiting goalkeeper. Jack Cubitt was getting good space down the right, combining well with Kyle McGrath, whilst Thomas McAuley and Aaron McPeake were rocks in defence. Skipper Neeson eventually got the second goal after constant bombardment on the Parkhall goal, and this seemed to be enough. This was until with four minutes to go Parkhall broke the off side trap to fire home the equaliser to force a replay at Antrim Forum.
