Our Year 11 boys played their Mid-Antrim quarter-final against Sperrin Integrated College before the mid-term break, winning the tie by 2-1 to advance to the semi-final where they will face Slemish College.
It was a nip and tuck type of game, with not much between the sides. It took two moments of brilliance from Cullybackey to seal the win. Firstly Jayden Reid rifled home a superb shot into the top corner from 25 yards out. Then, in the second half, Ben Clarke executed an audacious lob from outside the box, looping over the goalkeeper to seal the win on home turf.
This was an outstanding performance from a talented group of boys. Best on the day were Matthew Purkess, Jayden Reid and Sam Turtle.
