Y11 GCSE Art & Design students were accompanied by Mrs Andrews in spending a day The MAC as part of the Schools in Residence programme, funded by the Freelands Foundation.
Supporting their portfolio work, pupils explored the current exhibition ‘I See His Blood Upon The Rose’.
The value of working within a gallery space and responding to art first hand cannot ever be underestimated. For many this was their first experience of being in an art gallery and a first visit to The MAC. Hopefully today’s experience has opened a door and encourages more engagement.
