On Wednesday, the Under 13s, following a successful blitz day, competed in the quarter final of the Cup competition against their local rivals, Dunclug. The team dominated the match from the first whistle to the last kick, coming away with a comprehensive victory and marching on to the semi-finals. Whilst it is difficult to pick out individuals in such an impressive team performance, special mention goes to Max Brown in defence, who’s decision making and composure quickly thwarted any Dunclug attacks. In midfield, captain Cody Pinkerton was everywhere, winning the ball back and finding teammates in space. Finally in attack, Codi Wilson, who finished the game with a hattrick and was unlucky not to add further to his goal tally, with Dunclug’s goalkeeper pulling off some unlikely saves.
A great performance from the whole squad and we wait excitedly to see who we play in the semi-finals.
