The final session of the SOAR leadership programme, led by Exodus NI, took place on Wednesday afternoon in Mrs McFarlane’s room. During this session we focused on the importance of being a good listener to help prepare us to be effective leaders of the future and we also considered what it means to be resilient. The session ended with an opportunity for us all to reflect on everything we have learned in the last six weeks and we wrote “Dear Future Me……” letters to ourselves which will be posted back to us in four months.
Mrs McFarlane would like to thank Gemma and Ethan from Exodus NI for co-ordinating these sessions. It has been a very rewarding experience and all the pupils who took part will receive certificates from Stranmillis University College as accreditation for completing this course.
