Schools’ Bible Project

Cullybackey Success in The Schools’ Bible Project 2020.

The Schools’ Bible Project is a National Writing Competition. Pupils were required to select and carefully study a Bible passage from The Wedding at Cana, Christ Calms the Storm at Sea, The Raising of Lazarus, Angels Announce the Birth of Christ or The Resurrection. Pupils had to write about the event in their own words, as if they had been present.

Ewan Clarke, a Year 9 pupil, won third prize, which included book prizes for himself and £100 for the school.  Usually the main prize winners go to London to receive their prizes at the House of Lords, sadly this is not possible this year but it is hoped there will be a future event in 2021.

Other pupils received book prizes to acknowledge their excellent standard of work.

They include:

Harvey Hull – 9A1,

Marc Gordon – 9A5,

David Mark – 10A4,

Samuel Hanna – 11A1,

Emma Glendinning – 11A2

Jacob McKinney – 9A2

Well done to all the pupils for the excellent work produced for this competition.
