Ross Stevenson is simply too quick off the mark. After reaching extraordinary heights in 2018 by winning the All-Ireland Schools’ Minor Boys 100m, he has doubled that achievement this year, by storming home to a double sprint success on the big stage. On Saturday 1st June Ross competed in the All-Ireland Schools’ finals once more, this time going in as Ulster Champion in both the 100m and 200m Junior Boys events.
The Ballymena and Antrim Athletics Club man stormed to Gold medals in both to claim an elusive double. In addition, he ran to personal best times of 11.54 seconds in the 100m and 23.39 seconds in the 200m.
Well done Ross from all at Cullybackey College.
