Pi Day

Celebrating 3.14 — the number that just keeps on going!
Whether you’re into maths, engineering, baking, or simply love a good excuse for pie, Saturday 14th March is the perfect day to appreciate the infinite wonders of π.
If you are someone who loves precision, problem solving, and all things mechanical, you can’t help but admire how Pi pops up everywhere — from circular gears to robotic mower navigation to motorsport tech!
To mark Pi Day, our KS3 students have been set an ambitious mathematical challenge: recalling Pi to 100 decimal places.
This activity not only highlights the beauty and complexity of mathematics, but also encourages focus, memory techniques, and a deeper appreciation for the constants that underpin so much of modern engineering, technology, and scientific understanding (STEM).
Well done to everyone taking part, and best of luck reaching (or exceeding!) 100 digits! Use the link below to help you practice.
