On Saturday 1 March the MAC, Belfast, hosted a symposium to explore the current challenges in post primary Art & Design education in Northern Ireland.
Art & Design teacher Mrs Andrews currently holds an artist-teacher fellowship with the project and was part of the panel discussion together with teachers from the other participating schools.
The day was packed with thought provoking discussions and workshops and was attended by artists, educators, academics, policy makers and facilitators.
This was a great experience for all involved and it is positive to see so many from varied backgrounds showing an interest in the conversation and wanting to making change.
