GCSE Agriculture class visit Robert Patton’s farm at Ballycarry

The GCSE Agriculture class visited Robert Patton’s farm at Ballycarry. The class had a tour of the Saddlery and the Farm. This was a great experience to observe modern farming, using robotics. The class are currently studying mechanisations in farming and this linked into their studies. Robert explained to them how the robotics has saved him with farm labour costs, efficiency in feeding operations and the time can be utilised elsewhere in the farm. At the end of the tour the class has a question and answer session. The group thanked Robert for taking the time to spend with them and showing them his farm.
