On Monday 29th September, Year 11 pupils attended a talk on the dangers of drugs and addiction by Mrs Theresa Burke. Theresa spoke about her own experiences of addiction, from a Mother’s point of view, and shared some very hard-hitting pictures and videos of her Son Kaelan’s battle with drug addiction and how it ended up taking his life. Addiction features as a topic on both the GCSE and OCN RE courses and we are grateful to Theresa for taking the time to share her son’s story.
