The Schools Bible Project is a National Writing Competition. To enter this competition, pupils were required to select and carefully study a Bible passage from The Wedding at Cana, Christ calms the Storm at Sea, The Raising of Lazarus, Angels announce the Birth of Christ or The Resurrection. Pupils then had to write about the event in their own words, from an eye-witness perspective.
Austin McAleese from Year 9 won 2nd prize in this competition; this included a prize of £250 for the school. It is hoped the main prize winners will be invited to the prize giving ceremony towards the end of term in London to receive their prizes at the House of Lords.
Other pupils received book prizes to acknowledge their excellent standard of work. They include:
Erika Stevenson Yr 9
Jack McCaughern Yr 9
Sam McClintock Yr 9
Ewan Clarke Yr 10
Jonathan McGladdery Yr 10
Sam Wylie Yr 10
Taryn Simpson Yr 10
David McAleese Yr 11
