On Friday 15th October, forty pupils (and eight excited staff) took a trip to Kingspan Stadium to watch Ulster play the Sigma Lions, from South Africa.
On a dry, and surprisingly warm evening, the Cullybackey group, upon arrival in Belfast, enjoyed gourmet burgers, chicken goujons, chips, doughnuts and crepes (and that was just Mr Foster’s order).
The cheering from the stands was loud (mostly thanks to Mrs McCandless) and the pupil’s behaviour was exemplarily throughout – as commented on by several of the crowd standing near us.
After watching a very exciting game, in which Ulster ran out 26-10 victors, many pupils had the opportunity to meet the players, and get lots of their newly purchased merchandise signed.
A huge thank you to all the staff for giving up their Friday evening to attend the game, and to all the pupils who made the experience so enjoyable and worthwhile.
Looking forward to the next trip already.
Thank you,
Mr Magee
