Sixth Form Mentors have been working with KS3 pupils to learn about resilience.

On Thursday 16th February the Sixth Form Formal was held in Tullyglass House Hotel. Both students and staff had a brilliant night and danced the night away. Sixth Form Mentors have been working with KS3 pupils over the past few weeks on the 5 steps to well-being.

Some Year 13 pupils volunteered their time to help the Ballymena Rotary Club to organise food donations from local schools. These donations were to make hampers for those who need them at Christmas. It was amazing to see the massive collection of food from schools and to see the fantastic effort from the local rotary

This week is Anti-Bullying Week. The Sixth Form Peer Mentors worked with KS3 pupils to discuss who they could reach out to in school.

Five of our Year 13 students took part in the Rotary Club Youth Leadership Competition. Interviews were conducted by Joanne Brown Kerr and Peter Chestnutt from the Ballymena Rotary Club. Congratulations to Kaitlyn Robinson who made it through to the next stage of the competition. Well done to all the students who took part.

It was Year 13’s turn to get training from START 360 to prepare them for the role of Peer Mentoring. This will involve supporting younger pupils at school. Well done to everyone for volunteering.

This week Year 14 pupils received training from START 360 to prepare them for Peer Mentoring. They explored the issues that affect young people and became more aware of how to provide support. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the course.
