The North Eastern (NEBSSA) Schools’ Cross Country event returned to the sporting calendar this week (the first since 2019) and was held at Six Mile Water in Ballyclare. This year we had 40 pupils competing in the events which were run over distances of 1600m (Year 8 and 9) and 3200m (Year 10 and seniors).

On Wednesday afternoon, senior pupils completed session 2 of the SOAR leadership programme, coordinated and led by Exodus NI. During this session, pupils had the opportunity to explore their individual personality traits using an online quiz; they then linked their results to career paths which would be best suited to them.

Year 8 played their first hockey match yesterday and the girls worked very hard demonstrating their skills. They were very unlucky to lose 1-0.

Our U16 and U14 rugby squads recently began their respective Ulster High School competitions with double headers against local rivals Sperrin College and Ballymoney HS.
