Year 8 had to create an ‘All About Me’ bag and deliver a short presentation to their classmates. By creating these bags during our first term together, we got to know each other better while developing our talking and listening skills.
On Friday 27th October the English Department hosted renowned story-teller Patrick Ryan. Patrick’s stories of folklore in Dickensian London were an excellent introduction to our Year 9 unit on Charles Dickens. This was a fantastic opportunity for the students to hear the ghost stories that the children in Dickens’ time would have heard around the fireside.

Book Club started today. The girls enjoyed a quiz, before making their own bookmarks. Miss Whitton was extremely impressed with the creativity on show and can’t wait to see them in action!
On 30th March we had a visit from renowned Scottish author Stuart Reid. This is Stuart’s second visit to Cullybackey College and Year 8 throughly enjoyed his storytelling and creative writing workshops! A fun time was had by all!
