A-Level Art & Design students visited the Royal Ulster Academy annual exhibition at the Ulster Museum. Maggie Bowen from the RUA education team, and Mrs Andrews own school Art teacher, gave an insightful tour of the exhibition allowing all to learn so much more about the ideas behind the work and what inspired the artists. Connecting Cullybackey to London, the education team at the National Gallery hosted a workshop with our Year 11 GCSE Art and Design pupils. Using work from their collection they explored Still Life and Composition to support their portfolio work on this subject.

On Saturday 14th September Art & Design teacher Mrs Andrews attended the opening of the AADE (Association of Art Education) annual teacher’s exhibition at Holywood Library where her artwork was part of the show.  The proceeds from sales will go to support this year’s charity Solas which supports those living with Autism and additional needs.
