This term year 8 History pupils studied Norman castles and as part of their learning experience they participated in a castle building competition. The range of castles presented was superb : from cakes to constructions made of wood and metal. Check out the gallery to see the winning castles.

Year 8 Rugby

The Year 8 Rugby squad travelled to Coleraine on Monday 3rd February to play competitive games against Coleraine Grammar Shool, Coleraine College, Dunluce School, North Coast Integrated and Ballymoney High School. Two wins and three narrow defeats saw the team finish fourth overall. This was a great day’s preparation for their upcoming Ulster qualifiers.

Term 1 was a busy period for all Cullybackey’s football teams, in various League and Cup campaigns. Year 8 have qualified for the NI Plate competition quarter final, against Hazelwood. They also host Cambridge House in the Mid-Antrim Cup quarter final. Year 9 finished off their League campaign with three wins from four and now look
