INOV8 2026

On Friday 9th January 2026 we are once again delighted to host our annual P7 INOV8 event from 10:00am to 12:30pm.

780 Primary 7 pupils from 31 local primary schools attended this STEM programme of interactive workshops and shows. The aim for the day was to engage and enthuse young people about Science, Technology and Maths. Cullybackey College had the opportunity to showcase the extensive skill of its staff and the learning possibilities available within our College environment. The College recognises the importance of establishing close working relationships with our local primary schools. In addition, the local Primary School Principals were invited to a special lunch prepared by our GCSE Hospitality students.

The emphasis for the day was firmly on how learning can be fun. The scientific workshops included – making elephant’s toothpaste, walking on egg shells and making rainbows! The technology workshops involved electronics and making slingshots! We also had 2 special Science shows: one from the W5 science boffins; and the other a special interactive star show experience courtesy of the Armagh Planetarium!

all in attendance had a great morning, with one P7 pupil stating, ‘This has been the best day of the year – I really want to go to Cullybackey College!’
