Careers Education and Employability endeavour to provide information, advice and guidance to all pupils. Rapid changes are taking place in the labour market, driven by technological advances and global economic activity. Young people are required to make informed choices and this can be developed through Self-Awareness, Careers Exploration and Career Management. A large range of external organisations are invited into school to share their expertise and advice. The Careers Service NI is introduced to pupils in KS3 to assist with the decision making process for GCSEs. Within KS4 the Careers Service and Careers teacher interview all pupils to ensure that informed decisions are made with regard to Post 16 progression.
