In a first for Football in the school, and following on with what netballers have done previously, the Buick Primary School visited Cullybackey College for a development game to prepare both squads for upcoming cup matches in January. The Buick were delighted to bring a large squad to face some of their ex pupils in the King-Hay twins, Daniel Lowry and Josh Nicholl. In a close encounter it was competitive from the start with many of the Cullybackey squad players getting much needed pitch time. With several of the Buick players destined for Year 8 at the College in the future, it was great for the PE department to scout some of the future talent on show, whilst at the same time provide some match practice for both teams. This fixture will be repeated after Christmas as both schools continue to develop sporting links with each other.
