Year 9 history pupils recently participated in a Living History workshop led by the Navan Centre. Year 9s were treated to an excellent workshop on the Ulster Plantation. Engaged pupils learned about two characters from the time of the 1641 rebellion and developed their knowledge on the Flight of the Earls and the subsequent plantation period. Pupils enjoyed the demonstration of weapons with some getting the opportunity to handle the weapons and artefacts from the time.
The workshop served to enhance and develop pupil knowledge and understanding of their respective study unit, the Plantation of Ireland. Thank you to the Navan Centre for their excellent, fun and engaging workshop.VIEW GALLERY
