Role of the College in Child Protection
The following information explains what staff and parents of our College need to do if they are concerned about possible abuse or if they have any concerns about a young person in our College.
Bullying is covered under the Colleges’ Anti-Bullying Policy and Positive Behavioural Policy.
Self-harm is deemed to be any deliberate act by a person which causes harm to themselves. Suicidal thoughts can occur in the absence of actual self-harm.
A full description of the main risk factors can be found in the full Child Protection Policy, the Anti-Bullying Policy and the Positive Behaviour Policy.
Everyone has a duty to protect our young people – the welfare of our young people is paramount.
